Vacancy: Digital Media Assistant
The Kenya Alliance of Resident Associations (KARA) is seeking to hire a talented and motivated Digital Media Assistant to support its multimedia communication activities. This role aligns with the Alliance’s strategic goals and objectives, aimed at enhancing the organization’s online presence and engagement with stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to promote KARA’s agenda, manage its digital platforms, and foster meaningful interactions with members and the wider public.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop, create, and schedule engaging posts on KARA’s social media pages in line with organizational activities and a pre-planned content calendar.
- Manage and maintain KARA’s profiles across multiple social media platforms, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of strategies to enhance engagement, increase followers, and build the organization’s online community.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends, insights, and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Ensure consistent branding and visibility across all digital content and communication channels.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, comments, and messages from members and stakeholders on social media platforms.
- Create visual and multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and other promotional materials, as needed.
- Support website content updates and ensure its design and functionality align with KARA’s digital strategy.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field.
- At least two years of professional experience managing organizational digital media activities, including social media campaigns and online engagement.
- Proficiency in design and editing software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Canva, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of effective content management, web design, and website management tools such as WordPress.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for digital platforms.
- Ability to interpret analytics and prepare reports on digital performance metrics.
- Familiarity with social media advertising tools and techniques is an added advantage.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
