The Kenya Alliance of Resident Associations (KARA) successfully hosted the 6th Annual Resident Associations Excellence Awards (ARAEA) Gala Dinner on 5th December 2024 at Panafric Hotel in Nairobi. This prestigious event celebrates and recognizes outstanding achievements by Resident Associations in Kenya, and award those that have done exceptionally well in championing the interests of their members. The chief guest at the ceremony was Dr. Julius Kipng’etich, Group CEO, Jubilee Holdings Ltd who delivered a keynote speech on ‘Resident Associations as Agents of Transformational Leadership and Improved Service Delivery in Kenya.’
The Annual Resident Associations Excellence Awards is designed to recognize and appreciate success stories by Resident Associations and also provide an opportunity for learning and possible replication of best practices across various neighbourhoods. The 6th awards represented a wide range of creative and impactful initiatives that address local challenges, from environmental programs, public safety initiatives to greening neighborhoods and creating communication platforms that enhance civic participation.
