KARA Celebrates 25 Years of Championing Residents’ Interests

KARA hosted its 25th Anniversary Luncheon, marking a quarter century of proudly advocating for residents across Kenya. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on our journey, celebrate milestones, and chart the way forward under the theme: “Building Financially Resilient Communities: The Role of Resident Associations in National Development.”

Our Chief Guest, representing the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning, Hon. FCPA John Mbadi, was Mr. Albert Mwenda, Director General – Budget, Fiscal, and Economic Affairs at the National Treasury & Economic Planning.

This milestone celebration was made possible through the support and partnership of the National Treasury and Economic Planning, NCBA Group, and Hanns Seidel Foundation.

As we celebrate 25 years of service, KARA remains committed to empowering residents and strengthening resident-led initiatives that drive sustainable development across Kenya.

Reflecting on the First Half of 2025.

The KARA Governing Council met to review our progress from the first half of 2025. We celebrated key achievements, addressed challenges, and discussed how to best strengthen participatory governance and improve service delivery for residents across the country.

We extend a sincere thank you to our Governing Council members for their invaluable insight, expertise, and support. Their commitment is essential in driving our mission forward.
