Collaborating for Accountable and Effective Service Delivery in Nairobi

Nairobi City County leaders, Hon. Geoffrey Mosiria, Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, and Mr. Patrick Angasa, Director of Public Participation and Citizen Engagement, visited KARA for a productive discussion on enhancing service delivery across the city.

KARA reaffirmed its role and highlighted ongoing collaborations with Nairobi City County, including the implementation of the Community and Neighbourhood Engagement Act (2016), the organization of Governor’s Roundtable Forums, supporting resident associations in entering recognition and agency agreements, integrating the Hatua app with county digital platforms for reporting and feedback, and contributing to the development of the Nairobi City County Development Policy.

The discussion underscored the importance of structured citizen engagement and collaborative action in improving service delivery outcomes. Representing resident associations nationwide, KARA remains committed to promoting accountability, strengthening citizen participation, and ensuring effective, responsive service delivery across Nairobi’s neighbourhoods.
