Grassroots women leaders, human rights defenders, and civil society actors recently convened at the Women’s Engagement Forum, supported by UNDP Kenya and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kenya, through the UNDP Amkeni Wakenya Programme under the Protection of Civic Space in the Digital Era project, to champion digital rights.
The forum focused on safeguarding women’s online freedoms, promoting gender equity in technology and digital spaces, and sharing experiences, challenges, and best practices for safe and meaningful online participation.
Through initiatives like this, KARA continues to amplify women’s voices and champion actionable recommendations that advance inclusion, safety, and leadership in Kenya’s digital transformation.
