The Kenya Alliance of Resident Associations (KARA) is pleased to announce management changes in the organization.

Mr. Henry Ochieng(Pictured) will with immediate effect assume the role of Chief Executive Officer - Designate following the upcoming retirement of the current CEO, Mr. Stephen Mutoro due on 31st December 2015. Mr. Mutoro has served the Alliance with exceptional dedication and zeal for the last 12 years and will be leaving to focus on COFEK and other responsibilities. The changes were approved at the Kara Governing Council meeting held at the Alliance offices on 6th October 2015 and is part of the strategic transition process the Alliance is currently undergoing.

Mr. Ochieng' holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Strategic Management) and has undertaken numerous courses relevant to the work of KARA. He has also served KARA in various capacities for the last eight years and during this period he has among other achievements designed and overseen the successful implementation of various programs of the Alliance. He has also deputized the outgoing CEO on numerous occasions and in consequence has a wealth of experience and skills necessary to take the Alliance to the next level.

Announcing the changes, Kara Chairman Mr. Richard Nyaga lauded Mr. Mutoro's enormous contribution to KARA's achievements. He wished him success in his future endeavours and assured him of KARA's commitment to continue the current excellent partnership with Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK). Mr. Nyaga expressed confidence that the incoming CEO will build on the foundation laid by his predecessor and lead the organization to greater heights.
