Kara signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MP Shah Hospital to promote health education and awareness in the communities. 

The MoU signing ceremony was held on 17th March 2021, and was presided over by Kara CEO Mr. Henry Ochieng and Dr. Toseef Din, CEO MP Shah Hospital. The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between the two organizations on diverse areas of mutual interest. The areas include but are not limited to: Providing platforms for direct engagement with resident associations to create awareness on health issues; training sessions to promote health education and awareness; public education and sensitization on sustainable environmental practices; promoting good hygiene practices in communities; residents dialogue forums to address the common myths and assumptions on health issues, provide medical advice, promote road safety measures for school going children;, joint campaign initiatives on agreed issues, among others.


Speaking at the signing ceremony, Kara CEO Mr. Ochieng said that the Kara-MP Shah partnership will provide an opportunity for Kara members to understand more about health issues especially during this challenging period of COVID 19 pandemic and make informed decisions that will be beneficial to them and their families.

Dr. Din on her part welcomed the partnership with Kara, and said that the hospital will strive to establish tailor made healthcare solutions for different segments in the communities so as to meet their health care needs and improve their livelihoods.
