KARA is the apex body representing the voice and pro-active action of Resident Associations in Kenya on access to better services at the neighbourhood, County and National level. KARA unites Resident Associations to speak in one voice when engaging the government, private sector, development partners and other actors on service delivery agenda. 

KARA has established itself as the vehicle for advocating for better services through policy advocacy and influence; capacity building and awareness creation for Resident Associations; community mobilization and networking; formation and facilitation of the work of Resident Associations across the country; mediation and arbitration; strategic partnerships with the government, private sector, development partners and implementation of activities that contribute towards better quality of life for residents of Kenya.
