The Kenya Alliance of Resident Associations (KARA) in partnership with European Union (EU) in Kenya, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Amkeni WaKenya Programme is currently developing a Digital Service Request Platform to facilitate sharing of service delivery information between Resident Associations and various Government Agencies (National Environment Complaints Committee, National Environment Management Authority, Nairobi Metropolitan Services among others), and enable tracking of action taken on issues raised through the digital platform. The platform comprises of a web server: the core system handling all operations, a web app to allow users access via a web browser, an API to allow for the apps to access the centralized database via the web server and also give room for future integrations.

As we progress with the development of the platform, we would like to get input from key stakeholders on how to make the platform better in terms of functionality and effectiveness. In this regard, we have organized a stakeholders briefing virtual meeting to share details of how the system will work, the impact it will have on engagement between Resident Associations and Government agencies on service delivery, and the expected roles and responsibilities of the various actors who may be involved.

As one of the key stakeholders, we are pleased to invite you to the meeting on Wednesday, 1st September 2021 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. We request that you confirm your participation by registering through the following link: you register, the meeting link will be sent to your email address. We look forward to hosting you.
