The government has gazetted an advisory on the conduct of virtual and hybrid general meetings by organizations registered under the Societies Act.

The advisory addresses key issues regarding preparation and planning for the meetings; procedures during and after the meetings.

The advisory is a response to the dilemma that Societies faced on how to conduct general meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic given that the constitution and guidelines for the organizations had no provision for use of technology. Resident Associations can proceed to carry out their meetings while observing the government guidelines. Click here for the guidelines
