Kara has partnered with Kenya Power to strengthen engagement between the company and Resident Associations on service delivery and improve customer experience and satisfaction.

Under the partnership, Kenya Power and Kara have agreed to forge a working relationship on areas of mutual interest which include: Providing a platform for direct and structured engagement between Kara members and Kenya Power; Strengthening cooperation between Residents Associations and Kenya Power in product design, layout,  maintenance and use of Kenya Power infrastructure in residential areas; Ensuring effective and efficient response to issues pertaining to service provision, reliability and customer satisfaction.

To kick off the partnership, Kara and Kenya Power organized a series of Residents Dialogue Forums in Nairobi to facilitate direct engagement between Kara members and the leadership of Kenya Power on issues pertaining to power interruptions, billing, prepaid meters, electricity tariffs among others. The forums dubbed ‘Umeme Mitaani’ were held in four regions of Nairobi: West, East, South and North and attended by Kara members in each of the areas. Participants at the forum urged Kenya Power to improve services and also expressed willingness to work with the Power Company to address some of the service delivery challenges they are experiencing. Kara is in discussion with Kenya Power to roll out similar forums in other Counties across Kenya
