The Kara Annual General Meeting was held on 26th April 2019 at the secretariat offices.

We wish to sincerely thank those who managed to attend the meeting as your presence and participation greatly contributed to the success of the meeting. Below is a brief recap of the meeting.

1. The Chairman’s and Treasurer’s reports for 2018 were noted with appreciation and adopted. Members encouraged the Alliance to continue strengthening its presence at the Counties to ensure that issues and interests of Resident Associations are effectively dealt with by respective County Governments.
2. The new Kara strategic plan (2019-2023) was unanimously adopted by members. The plan will guide the Alliance’s activities for the next five years. The new strategic plan shall be disseminated to members through the various Kara communication channels.
3. Mr. Arthur Namu, Ms. Natasha Njee and Mr. Paul Oyier whose term at the Governing Council had expired but offered themselves for re-election as per Article 7, Section (4b) of the Kara Constitution, were unanimously re-elected for a new term of 3 years.
