The 6th Annual Devolution Conference will be held from 4th to 8th March 2019 in Kirinyaga County under the overall theme “Deliver. Transform. Measure. “Remaining Accountable.

The conference will adopt a sector based dialogue approach. The key sectors under focus will guide discussions at the conference and they include: Health, Trade, Housing, Infrastructure, and Agriculture. The overall objective of the conference will be to allow the Government and its key stakeholders to have discussions on service delivery by Government, sectors that have been transformed over the last one year and to measure the progress made in the Big Four Sectors i.e. Health, Agriculture, Trade and Manufacturing and Affordable Housing.

The 6th convening to take stock of devolution progress has for the first time invited a citizens’ space by integrating a platform for citizens’ dialogue alongside the Big 4 agenda dialogues. This interface is an important step in advancing the constitutional rights of the citizenry to influence decisions, make proposals and demand accountability in governance. More than 6,000 delegates are expected to attend the Devolution Conference in Kirinyaga County. Kara will participate in the conference both as delegates and exhibitors.
