Kara participated in a multi-stakeholders forum convened to establish the Kenyan National Platform for Partnering for Global Goals and Green Growth (P4G).

The forum was organized by the Royal Danish Embassy, Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Environment who are the key drivers of P4G in Kenya.

P4G was launched during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) held in New York in September 2017 and the initiative was co-created in close collaboration with international partners including the partner countries i.e. Chile, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Korea, Mexico and Vietnam and was supported by businesses, international organizations, academia and civil society.

The main aim of the Kenya chapter P4G is to catalyze solutions and promote Kenyan P4G partnerships that are inclusive. This will be done by leveraging on the national platform as a means of nurturing innovative partnerships which can then act as engines for change and transformation. The forum will also discuss and consolidate partnership ideas on the Government’s Big 4 Agenda with regard to green growth strategies. Kara is a member of the Housing Working Group that will focus on the housing sector and how it relates to green growth.
