Kara participated in the recently concluded Governance Summit organized by The Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK) and HESABIKA under the theme ‘Good Governance for Good Citizenship.

’ The summit was held on 12th-13th February 2018 at Safari Park Hotel. Prof. Justice (Rtd) Mervyn King, SC whose name is synonymous with corporate governance in the global scene, having authored several books that provide critical guidance on good governance, was the main speaker at the summit.

The summit’s objective was to expose leaders and senior influencers of Kenya’s private and public sectors to the latest global thinking and research in corporate governance, sustainability, and integrated reporting. Kara CEO, Mr. Henry Ochieng was one of the panelists in a session that was addressing the theme: “Making Public Participation Work for us”. Other session panelists were Makueni County Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana; Prof. Mervyn King; Principal Secretary State Department of Devolution Mr. Micah Pkopus Powon and Ms. Rachel Muthoga of KEPSA.
